Well they can just not read my post then. It's just that some people might be wary of trying this, without knowing what's going to happen.

It seems to me that the most common surname on the internet is .avi for a lot of ladies. :D

These arent the kind that you'd bring home to meet your parents though.. ;)

Sorry, but it aint :p. TorrentFlux is the bestest. Can UTorrent stream data to any computer over the internet? Hmmm? HMMMM? I'm going to transfer all my music to my server because I can navigate to my files, click the music link, and BAM! (near) instant music from my speakers. Beat that :D.

I've never used UTorrent, but I'm pretty well covered with BitLord for Windows. Kinda makes me want to try UTorrent just for the game

Edit: Whether there is a meaning behind Preacorian I don't know, but they're (Elenril only actually) the people who do the front page stuff here.

"Praetorian Guard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praetorian_Guard), a special force of skilled and celebrated warriors used by Roman Emperors."

I would only assume that is the Preacorian's origin. Why its spelt differently, is beyond my understanding.

Maybe the "c" instead of the "t" is for Capello? :p

...my god. Paul is amassing an army of case modding warriors!

A praeco is the Latin term for the job title of the man who stood in the public forum infront of the Roman senate to loudly deliver the news (and advertisements). He would read the daily goin's on of Rome, the senate's activity, progress of the current war (there was always at least one), and so on. I figured "hell, we are reading the news, why not call ourselves Praecorians?" and the name stuck. I preferred it over Newshound.

You can tell I made the term up, google it, there are only two listings and it talks about Elenril :)

That's what he wants you to think... By all means, continue believing we are just simple newsreaders. But I think Snowfire's got it right ;)

And By the way: proof (http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/ptext?doc=Perseus%3atext%3a1999%2e04%2e0062&query=id%3dpraeco#id,praeco)

yes, thats mainly what it does... download stuff from other computers over the internet. but i know what your talking about and thats what my Vantec eSATA External (with 750gb soon) hard drive is for!

i've only ever tried bittorrent before and i didn't understand it at all (this was a while ago before i was really into computers) i don't like change so i just use it all the time, plus there is no installation required.

just so you know torrentflux is usually only server based, most seedboxes use it.
for windows i do prefer utorrent but you have to wonder what kinda stuff is going to be but in it now that bittorrent have taken it over......

LOL, yes, I know it downloads stuff over the internet. What I meant was TorrentFlux can download it, and then on my website, I can do mysite.com/torrentflux/torrentflux_2.3/html/index.php (example, not my site, 'cause mines not done yet ;)) and log in, then stream the music to whatever computer I'm on currently. After I log in, I can also remotely control downloads to my home server.

Yeah, I know it's mostly for servers (which is why I was excited to get my server running) since Apache, MySQL, and PHP are all requirements for it to run. I have to say though, if you ever get a chance for a server, you definitely need to give TorrentFlux a try. It's absolutely KILLER.

ya the web ui thing is cool but for your average user with a dynamic ip its pretty useless unless you can be bothered setting up dns stuff and get a domain.

all this talk of utorrent is making me lonely, as of about a week ago im trying to use linux for all my day to day stuff. and azureus or deluge doesnt have tetris!!!
