Ok im planning on doing a Mod of a centurion 5
case (check out the Ohio State Case Mod in the
Idea Zone section) and i just realized it has two
sections of mesh type holes in the side panel, one
that bulges out (for a fan hole) and a flat section
near the bottom. I know if i cut out the window i
planned it'll hit the fan hole and the mesh part.
So here is my question:

How do i deal with the bulge of the fan hole (make it flat)?
AND
What material would i use to fill said holes?

Here is the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119068

just started my first mod here, and I haven't done what i'm about to suggest so don't hold me to it ok.

take some stiff material, a sheet of wood if you have it, big enough to span over all said holes.
place it on one side, then on the other side you could take some Bondo or similar material to fill in the holes.
as a precaution (as i have no idea how strong Bondo is) you can take a small sheet of metal to cover the other side of the holes once filled in, or use the sheet of metal instead of the wood.

Yep, Bondo is the way to go. Never done this specific thing before, but a little experimentation first and you'll be fine.

Bondo alone won't cut it. when you get it sanded flat, there isn't really enough material to hold it all in place.
You'll need to reinforce behind the holes to give it something to cling too.
So if you just put the bondo on from the good side, it wouldn't really work.
However if you applied it on the inside, so it squeezes out through the holes, it would probably be fine. It would have to be a thick enough layer to have some strength. A thin smear wouldn't be enough.

The best option here would be some fibreglass matting and resin on the back of the panel, and bondo on the side you see.
