Good morning to everyone!
Today is turning into a great day, so I thought I'd share the positive karma with everyone. I was inspired by previous threads like this, and they tended to have a contagious (in a good way) effect on everyone, so here we go.
I found out today that my insurance is completely unaffected by the accident, and the other guys company is covering 100% with no fighting at all (and they should, as he was 100% at fault). This is great news!
Next, my boss came and told me that after our meeting the other day (and my performance review, which was ALL good news) he has decided to accept my "4 day work week" proposal, provided that I am available on my day off in case of emergency (call in type situation). If I am called in on my day off, that time will be credited towards banked time to be used for more time off!
I also sold my wife's PC (with her permission of course), which means some extra cash incoming too!
My business on the side had 2 jobs get booked this morning too, so that's more $$$ too!
Yup.. great day. I hope everyone else has as good a day as me, keep the positivity flowing everyone!

Luke I'm well happy for you - what a day!
I used to work 3 1/2 days a week. It was perfect. I had a time expensive hobby/training towards a career as a photographer that took the other 3 1/2 - much time in the darkroom printing my own work in my basement.
My advice: on the last day, be it thursday or whatever, start early, don't take breaks and finish at 1pm having done your work and hours. On your first day arrive late take lunch and work like a demon for your hours. The longer you make the weekend last the better life gets.
Mine now runs from 00.00 Sunday morning to 24.00 Saturday night. Though I have my own troubles, I love the psychological freedom of always wearing my own trousers. :)
I had a great day today. I am under a new hospital. The last one took two years to do tests, started proving themselves negligent and then discharged me. This one saw me first 24 days ago. The main tests in one area are completed. The other hospital took nine months to do those.
I'm starting to hope there may be help for me here after all. And thats a big plus because man I was getting down. And the best of it is I thought I was waiting until September 27th for a scan of my pelvis and back. Yesterday I got a text telling me I had an appointment this morning when I phoned they said "we have booked you in for all your tests today including the MRI"
MAN WAS THAT A HIGH !!!
Stoked your day has been a great one. Life is a beach when people respect and honour and seek agreement with each other and do the right thing. : up: we all have choices.
May peace be in your life Luke.
Best
Matthew
My day had ups and downs like most.
Mostly personal drama, conflict, thought, work.
Still, all things considered, I have many wonderful people in my life, I have 2 girlfriends who know about each other and are accepting, I have a great job and I enjoy my life and what I'm doing with it.
A little hot, but nothing is perfect.

My day just went from average to wonderful...
Just found out that in approx 8 months from now, I'll be a diaper buying madman.

I'd also recommend buying a bio-hazard suit to change those diapers!
Congrats to you and your wife.

Congrats!
Remember, no matter what people say, changing diapers isnt as bad as it's made out to be.

Mine was quite good until a few minutes ago... I got home and all from NY and was liking it here until I had a grim reminder: My dad and I don't seem to get along at all, and there's nothing I can do about it. He seems to hate me (there's more to it but I don't know what) for no reason. We just got him and my brother (whom I really missed these past two weeks) from the airport, they just got back from Germany, and he just acts like I"m **** right off the bat. It's very disheartening, and if I move out in a couple years, it's not to go to a better school or to where my job is, it's to get away from him... as much as I try to calm myself down I can't. What a ****ing great thing to happen on the first day home. Ah well, **** him, I'ma do my own thing and ignore him as much as possible.
EDIT: Oh, and congrats on the baby and all... kids are a wonderful thing, and I would like to have one someday when I am ready to... it would be an interesting experience...

Delete his WoW account, and maybe he won't be such a grouch ;).
