Well yeah...i'm new to this site, well kind a sorta, ive just been here in and out reading threads. But while waiting for a good cash flow to come in(my check :D ) i decided to start painting my keyboard. My question is...do i use a spray paint type of clear coat or is there like some other type of paint out there? and if spray paint...what is a good brand that makes it? thanks for your guys time in reading this and for your help.

what colour is your keyboard now? If it's white or beige, you could use vinyl die to very good effect. It keeps the letters visible too.

from the sound of it he has already painted the keyboard and wants to know what style/brand of clear coat.

if thats true i would reccomend the same brand as paint you used since it will work together safely, otherwise this (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8455&highlight=BF2+calculator) might happen.

I thought that only happens when you become really impatient and over spray at one spot. But I'm using Krylon Interior/Exterior paint. And I guess I'm taking my sweet time with it. haha. Well thanks for the help guys. I just hope it comes out ok.

i don't think the problem with that paint job on the calculator was timing it was two brands of paint/clear coat, and maybe the wrong types i don't remember.

but ya just use some krylon clear coat.

Sorry I normally love to help out with paint threads. I've been slammed at work.

This is true. The answer is on the bottle of paint. Just read the coating time instructions and rely on them. This will keep paint from doing funky stuff on you.
I use Duplicolor Clear. Works well.

Thanks Commando, I'll keep Duplicolor clear in mind next time i decide to paint my other keyboard. Wait, so does it really matter, what spawn said:

Spawn is spot on. Use the same stuff, or use an acrylic clearcoat, which is fine over most paintjobs. I use Krylon Crystal Clear.
