So I go looking for a cheap(but good) power supply that will run the new system, after a few days looking at reviews, few days hunting for prices. I find a good if not great deal. An ANTEC TruePower Quattro 850, which isnt one of those psu's that list a high wattage and screw you on the rails, to sucker people.
Anyways the deal is $30 off ANNNND free shipping, so about $40 off.
which leaves it at $139.
The rebate ends tomorrow, so i go to check the rebate to see if thats a "buy by now" date or a "send rebate by now" date.
I download the form (stupid pdf's) and low and behold, its passworded. yipee.
So i send out an email to customer support.
So far its been over 38 hours without ANY response from them. the "deal" ends tomorrow. yeah, great.
I asked for the rebate form in my email, and kindly asked for an extension of the rebate or a discount, seeing as it was not my fault they passworded it.
If i get no response i wont go there again. thanks ylfmoozpiz...

Its a popular online store, its technically in my post but i dont know if the staff would get mad if i used the name, if they dont mind ill make it VERY obvious who it was.
*cough* white space
and i did check my email to see if they sent out an offer that had the password on it, but of course they didnt.
Thats clever.
It's like the DaVinci code but different.
The TBCS code.

ahh i just got it. it took a while to get the black light setup but i understand now.
i was looking at the power supply to compare it with my galaxy 850watt and it says it has "Four 12V output circuits provide supreme system stability" does that mean 4 rails or something else. i only ask becuase mine said 5 12v rails not "output circuits"

yep, but galaxy is way better quality wise, but the TP quatro is by far a better bang for the buck. I could never justify spending more then $180 or so on a psu.

ohwell i like having those kinds of things, while i could have a good system for 1/2 or 2/3's what i will be paying i like bragging rights.

I think your probably SOL on that particular rebate.
If you read the fine print on allot of the rebate forms their real picky about everything. .The ones Ive mailed, and were postmarked before the rebate ended I got rebates for. The ones I mailed had receipts for before the rebate ended, but were mailed the day the rebate ended or shortly there after I never got any rebates from.
Best thing to do Is Bookmark any pages that post rebates so you can pick up on the deal from the beginning.

I was watching the psu, Since the start, but after a day or so they went out of stock till a few days ago.
Still no email, I expected at least a "sorry we made a mistake and apologize for the inconvenience but we cannot give you a discount or extend the rebate"
but nope, they just ignore me.
Newegg may charge more on some items, but at least they treat their customers well.
