DUDE... WILL YOU SHARE!? I WOULD REP YOU FOR THE REST OF MY MEASLY LIFE IF YOU COULD GET ME VISTA.

Actually, why's XP more expensive? You know what, I don't care really, I need Vista. Are you selling these or what?

Oh yeah, and Linux + MySQL also = better.

Edit: Sorry, but I have to do this... 2000th post! Nice!

At my school, you must sign an agreement and you are only allowed one copy. Not really sure what it states in the agreement, but if I remember correctly, the person who made me sign for it stated that I am only purchasing the copy while I am a student at my school. You may want to check into it. Hate to see M$ get more money off of the less fortunate.

Once you get into it, Linux really isn't that bad. There are pages and pages and pages and pages and... of articles, and tuts, and support forums if you have questions. THE BEST Linux tut site IMO is www.howtoforge.com. My favorite server distro has to be Fedora 7 by far.

I completely agree with everything in the quoted post 900%. Linux is really easy once you get into it, and with the current releases of distros like Ubuntu and Fedora, you don't even need to use the command line at all (but where's the fun in that?). Howtoforge is as great as Sourceforge. Which is really great. And Fedora 7 owns.

Hey Greco, any update on this?

What college do you go to anyway? Mine has Vista and MS Office and all that crap for only about half the original price... all of it's at least $100, which is way over what I can spend. The only good thing I can think of is reduced taxes at the end of the year, but that's it...

I go to Cuyamaca in San Diego. It's a community college but it's nice as hell.

So's the college I go to. I've gone there one day and it's already like a second home to me, lol. I'm gonna be spending loads of time there, especially if I find people to talk with, heh heh.
