Ok so in the images above you can see that with Photoshop there is no, ummm, program title bar thing... i dunno, the bit with the minimize, maximize and close buttons.

So first i try my trick that has always worked before which is to lock/unlock the taskbar. Guess what doesn't work. So i move my taskbar to the bottom of my screen... no now it's gone for good not hiding behind the taskbar. I put it on both sides (only took a screen on the right) same thing happened again.
If i put Photoshop in my other monitor i have the same issue its not there.

OK ill just close and re-open. Nope still doing it.

But this is the interesting bit, all other programs have the bar there.

you might also notice that it's slightly overlapping into the second monitor by 3/4 pixels...

I've been running CS3 Extended for weeks, infact since it's BETA release.

So any Windows gurus have any clue why it's doing it?

edit: that huge white space isn't white it's non-existant (two different res monitors, 1280x800 and 1280x1024)

as it is maximied, have you tried running it in restored mode?

right cick the link to open cs3, properties, theres normally an otion to run as maximised, normal and minmised, else while open, press

Atl+space+R = Restore
Alt+Space+X = Maximise
Alt+Space+N = Minimise

None of those Alt+Space+R/X/N worked.

I cycled through the options Maximized, Minimized and Normal mode. And it's still doing it.

Try pressing "F" on the keyboard to switch screen modes.

Tried that too, nothing.

Weird.. I was able to duplicate your issue by hitting F a few times with an image open.. it cycles through screen modes, including a hidden titlebar just like you have.

I'll try some more things...

I've often run Photoshop on my secondary monitor with no issues.. even run it with tools on one screen, and the image on the other. If you are working on a single monitor, the TAB key hides(and restores) the tools so you have a better view of the image.

I did have to hit F a few times to get it to switch modes, but that should fix it for you.. I'll hit up a photoshop forum for you right now.

Yea hitting F has done it a few times before i've never had it stick like this though, F does nothing, ive tried hiding tools, windows, opening other windows.

Think i've found my issue just playing with it at the moment

Sorted it, CS3 has workspaces, so you can easily switch between layouts, i was chaining some of my shortcut keys yesterday, one of which ended up being related to the workspaces somehow... Only wanted to give stroke a shortcut, but it seems i hit that and it changed my layout, but wouldn't go back :s
