My warranty just ran out of my Dell XPS 410 and I was wanting to know if anyone has some extremely cheap and easy ways to mod this case so it would look cool. Here's a picture of it.

bondo off the dell logo. customize front vent , new paint job, drive stealthing, window. Its mainly up to you since it is your case.

bondo off the dell logo.

That alone will make the computer run better and could possibly make you be able to over clock your cpu to 5ghz... :p :D only joking but it will look a hell of alot better without the Dell logo.

a window may look good depending on how good your cable management skills are. custom paint?

Thanks well im new to case modding and I just want to great cheap and easy to do ideas but one thing I was going to do is on the XPS410 logo was scratch off the 410 and reprint as XPS 666 Demon of course nothing for satanism its just something for cheaps laughs that at same time looks cool.

see GREAT idea, you could also if you wanted, add extra cooling fans by making holes in the top or sides, and use pentagram for fan grills. also my suggestion would be a blacked out case with red writing to give it a VERY dark feel... and if at all possible remake the dell logo into "HELL" and have red and orange leds in the front bottom grill to give the illusion of fire. ok sorry I've taken over your mod I'll go away now *disapears into the shadows never to be seen again*

lol well you have some good ideas that would cost lil more than ill be able to spend but I bet i could do something to that effect ill just rig the LEDs onto a battery from hobby lobby and the fans well weather i want to spend much money or not are a must for this computer cause i overclocked the 410 once just barely though and it went up in smoke thank god i still had my warranty when that happened.

well heres a rough copy that i shottily made on paintshop that will show the basic idea of what this will look like ofcourse not doing any of this till i put a new
gfx card in. The pentagram will be a fan cover but instead of having a shine to it ima make it look old and rusty which ill get this affect by using a blow torch to carve it out of rusted steel but it will be cleaned of any loose rust and there will be a filter hidden in the case to avoid any missed rust.

If you don't have the cash, then why spend extra on batteries?

With the right resistor, you could just hook them up to you power supply in the PC.
Resistors are only about 1-3c each.

Like the theme you're going with, I find it kind of funny. Good play on words and numbers too, lol.

Yup.. Hell XPS is a great plan. :D

Red and Black looks slick together too..

You could do the side panels in black, leave the drives and drive bay area in black, and do the rest of the face (the silver part) and onto the top in red. Red face with black vents at the bottom would look sweet.

Also, behind the face in the fan opening, you could paint that area all black as well, and add some red lighting in there.

Rather than using a pentagram fan grill, you could do a window and add a pentagram etching, then edge light it in Red like CrimsonSky did on his Doom3 mod. :D
