Ok folks, things might get a little weird over the next 15 minutes while I make changes to the forum layout. It's minor, so i'm not going to bother taking the forums offline.

You'll notice something different when I'm done. Don't jump the gun to click on it, and don't ask me any questions either.

Crimson Sky and jdbnsn will be along in no time to explain what they're there for and exactly why it is that you should click on them. :)

Those buttons are a quick fix. For the lack of an explanation at the moment, i'll make this brief to stop you wetting your pants.

Paul's contract for the hosting company expired, and they've upped his hosting costs. This leaves him with 2 choices: Move the server, or pay up.

These guys have been pretty good, we have a dedicated server that I can say is in pretty good condition, we have a well built and fast computer, unlimited bandwidth, very little downtime, and appart from one tech support guy that got on our nerves, no problems dealing with the company. Paul's decided to pay the extra.

Unfortunately Paul's looking to buy a house, so this couldn't have come at a worse time for him. He's always had to pay extra to keep this site running-the advertising makes a pittance-but with the price change, he's finally decided to ask you guys to help keep TBCS the place it is. Although we will eventually have to add more advertising, we're doing it in the most unobtrusive manner.

The two buttons are for $10 and for $5 donations. We're going to have a little reward package for donors but we haven't decided for certain yet. We're not open to listening to suggestions either about what you guys would like, no offence intended.

There will be a full explanation covering this all in more detail soon. I was hoping it would be done by now but we're all busy people so it can't be helped. I'm supposed to be working at the moment, for example. :p

Hope that clears things up. If you do donate, Try to send your forum username with the donation, so we can all keep a track of donors. For now, there's no hurry to click the buttons. :)

I'll donate some sometime soon, five to ten bucks isn't that much (at least not at the moment)... just gotta edit the PayPal account for the new card, lol. I had kind of wondered how the server was hosted, lol.

EDIT: Note to all, lol, never hit back button. Donated $10 instead of five, but don't worry about it, I'm okay with that. What's an extra five bucks for one of my favorite hangouts online?

Dave, you should get some banner ads. they may be annoyin but with the amount of traffic this site gets they could be a very good earner compared to google ads
