QUAD CROSSFIRE (http://www.ocworkbench.com/2007/gigabyte/GA-MA790-DQ6/g7.htm)

Imagine 4 1GB HD2900XTs watercooled? Can you say 200fps on Crysis on full settings?

Jesus freaking Christ.
Wow.

I'm not a gamer, but I'd imagine Paint will look t0t4lly r4d with those cards.
Or my beloved AutoCAD.

No replacement for displacement!

Without a doubt... who wants to help me finance a rig just to see how good it looks? ;)

Is it me, or is that actually 2x '2 card crossfires'?

How about 4 gigs of video memory and 8 cores using quad crossfire!?
1GB Dual X1950 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102096)

Oi, 8 waterblocks!

That would be insane performance, I just couldn't comprehend that...

with that same mobo you can get 4 cards since there water cooled they only take up one slot, you would get (i think...) a dual SLI monitor setup, 2 cards per monitor. how do those crossfire cards work anyhow, do they all work together?

You gotta have an SLI motherboard to do SLI. And even so, I don't think SLI supports 4 cards. ATI will be making drivers that are compatible with that mobo so you can do 4 cards working together. I wish nvidia would do the same, since they have far better cards, but once you get to 4 cards, I don't think it will matter between 250fps and 350fps.

I still think that someday, ATI will make a card that is competitive with what the next nvidia. i also hope that someday i will have enough money to buy such a setup.

This means, however, that i must get a job. Either that, or I somehow make a movie and put it on revver to make millions.
