generally 3v
Thank you, +rep
i can't find my multimeta so i couldn't check, just so i don't blow some LED's.

It'll be 5V, with a suitable resistor for the LED.

I've never run a resistor with my HDD LED. I've always just hooked it straight up to the header pins.

same here, when i changed out the stock leds i just changed the leds, there was just wire. i believe the mobo makes build in the resistors.

The MoBo will probably just use the 3.3v feed from the PSU for the LED.

No, the mobo will have 5V and a suitable resistor, like I said.
Try hooking your PSU's 3.3V line directly to an LED if you like, but wear safety glasses...

I also don't recommend putting LEDs in USB ports.... it blew up in my fingers and stung for a while. I'm still alive though!

USB is 5V @ 500Ma max....Your 3V LED will go super nova In under a second:hurt:
But yes the mobo's should have a resistor build in. Don't try and run to many LED's off of the HDD light pins as they're not designed to drive much.
