i was looking up pci express 2.0 and came across it and was wondering what it did, anyone here know?

Not sure what it's for. Interesting the way it has 4 connections cover PCIe X1, X4, X8 and X16, one on each edge of the card.

Looks pretty cool, but what exactly does it do? I know u wrote that it tests PCI Express platforms, but can u explain it abit more?

I'm no expert, but i would say those ports look like jumper you can "jump" without having to remove the whole card. Them you can run to see how the PCI express port is gonna take say a video card with certain settings. But I could be wrong. Reminds me of the older test boards for testing MB where you would plug them into a raiser card slot with a couple settings to see whats wrong with a system.

Basically, something stupidly expensive that eliminates the need to remove everything and plug it in until the computer stops running.

It's a board that manufacturers of PCI-express devices use to test the systems they are creating during design stages. That's why it costs $3000 + - its a piece of industrial test equipment manufacturers use to ensure devices fall within the PCI-e standards. You could have learned that by using google. Thats what I did :)
