If you ever took your computer anywhere--a LAN party for example--you know how unwieldy it is to carry it. You can buy a harness, but it is expensive, uggly, and inconvenient.

I decided to add a handle to my PC case. It was my first case mod. I created a page with all the steps. You can see it here: PC Case Handle Mod (http://www.mmartins.com/mmartins/pccasehandle/handlemod.asp)

I would love to get your comments on this simple but useful mod.

You know, you could just post the steps in here as a worklog... but thanks for the tip anyways. :)

Well written. Only one suggestion. In this pic:

You make it appear that the hole to be cut should be the same as the full size of the handle, instead of the recessed portion, to allow for room for the bolts.

A minor tweak, but one that jumped out at me.

Killdrath: thank you for your praise and for the suggestion. I agree that Step 4 was not clear and I just rewrote it entirely. I hope it is clearer this time, but it is kind of difficult for me to find the right words to desribe the geometry of the handle...

As I said, it was well written. The finished product looks very good, and the directions are easily followable. I like the part about balancing the case to find the center of gravity.

Great guide man! Excellent first addition to the forum. I'd definitely be doing this myself, but when I get my 120.2 rad, there won't be room on top :(. You're making me reconsider the rad placement though... ;) +rep dude.
