"the laptop turn on and work good some time for 2 hours or more
and the screen see vertical lines."

Easy fix? or $$$?

My bet would be that at some pint it overheaded badly and damaged either the screen or video card.

Actually it could be gummed up with dust and getting overheated after two hours use perhaps? - if that is the case then a good clean out would cure it but you'll be taking a risk.

and Michael ... well done ... but always remember the twelve steps:

step 1: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 2: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 3: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 4: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 5: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 6: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 7: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 8: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 9: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 10: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 11: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"
step 12: say to yourself "my name is not jeremy"

Does the video problem only start with the overheating, or is it visible all the time?

says up there ^ its good for 2 hrs or so then starts getting vertical lines, hence my "clogged up with dust" hypothesis

off topic so I moved it to a thread of its own (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10671).

I got a free laptop that did this. The vertical lines were copied from the lower half of the display. It used to just show the vertical lines after running for a while. Then it started displaying them all the time.

I gave it away to someone else for free. There was probably something wrong with the hardware that was beyond my ability to repair.

I have seen this several times... it has always been the video card, (or output in case the video is on board). It is very possible as stated above that there is dust in it and that lets it overheat after a few hours of operation, but the verticle lines means that the video processor (GPU) is no longer communicating with the CPU.

I second that. :)

+1 more for the dust idea. Just make sense. In most cases, if it was the video chip it probably would be doing it all the time. The dust would insulate the heat to the point that it would freak out after a certain amount of time/temperature reached.
