Ok so I have been looking and noticed LCD monitor arms are expensive. So I was thinking I could make my own now the question I was wondering was can I just use pieces of steal and hinges or do I have to use something a little more complicated. Keep in mind I have lack of cash lol.:santa:

If you do the physics for springs and all, you probably could build a good one, but you could always put some bolts in there and have it so you loosen them before you rotate it and then tighten them again, other than that all you need to do is design and make the arm.

You could probably do something with TV wall mount things, the kind where you sit the TV on a plate of metal on a hinge and attached to the wall. Just get a couple of them and you could probably put them together somehow to get a result you want. They're fairly inexpensive but it may take quite a bit of thinking about.
