Resident Evil: Extinction

Well I just saw the trailer the other day, and I might have my next case mod. I have to finish project Nightrain but if I like how that comes out then maybe I will try something a little more complex.

I now have a spare XionII case (it was what my current build was in) and I have several computers lying around.

I just have to come up with ideas of what I want.


The movie starts out near las vegas in the desert so I was originally thinking a sand colored pain job, maybe try my hand at some kit bashing. I have chem lab this year so maybe I can get around to getting some glass tubing and bending it into the shape of the container for the T-virus and filling it with some coolant, or food dye'd water.

But the movie supposedly is a trek to Alaska so I could do a snow white/blue case mod. Bondo the bottom of the case and make it look like zombie tracks and blood in the snow. Maybe some icicles hanging from the drive bays. The umbrella corp emblem somewhere integrated into the parts in the case.

Looks like we will see once i see the movie. Then I will have some more ideas. Resident evil is one of my fav. game series and the movies aren't too bad either. Just think it will be a cool mod and haven't seen a R.E. case around

What do you guys think.

Ohh and please no one steal my idea lmao, make a RE case by all means but no exact copying the ideas verbatim please please. This could be my next case! lol

I've never seen anyone copy ideas verbatim. Everyone on this forum wants a completely custom case.

LOL, I know, I was just being a bum. I wouldn't really care anywho. I was just saying, the games were pretty damn popular, and with the movie coming out I haven't seen any case mods based on Resident Evil and thought it would be kinda cool.

I know no one would steal the idea, just being sarcastic. Guess it gets lost sometimes when there isn't any emotion in type.:dead:

I just saw RE: apocolypse last night, i didnt even know it existed since the original movie is played ALOT more then the second, but i can see why...

I was going to do a case mod for the original movie, but yeah. Getting my parents to slowly buy the stuff is taking Foreverrrrrrrrrrrr. (maybe i shouldve bought the case first then the guts =.=)

Ya the second movie was ok, I didn't care for it as much. But atleast there were traces of things that followed the games. That is one thing I do like about the movies is that the have been following the games but have their own twist to the story.

Can't wait for RE5 to come out. Hopefully they will get the controls right this time around for the pc edition. The screenshots look nice, and it is nice to get around to a different scenery, although it is currently bothering some people. But I think all that will blow over.

But ya, you should totally make a RE1 movie casemod, that would be pretty sick. Have like the top half look like a mansion, or the outside, and have the inside/or lower half be the laboratory. That would be pretty insane.


I am really getting into the snow white case idea though. Now its time to go work on the current case first though. :p

Cool. It was good? Thats cool. I was going to go see it last night with the girlfriend but she was exhausted so we didnt. Can't wait though, it should be pretty cool.

Make it fade from desert into snow... and make a few little battle scenes going on or something. That or you could make the paintjob wrap around the case... that'd be cool. This movie actually looks interesting, I'm gonna have to get off my lazy arse and go see it.
