I was going through some photos today and noticed i have ALOT of duplicates. I want to get rid of unnecessary duplicates because these things are stored on my flash drive and i want to free up space.

Does anyone know if there exists any sort of program that can go through a directory and look for duplicate files? The problem i have is that, somehow, over time, these duplicates have received different names, so i need some sort of software that can actually look at the pictures not just the file names.

Does this sort of software exist? Can anyone point me in the right direction if it does.

Thanks for the help guys.

I performed a quick google search last night, and there appears to be some programs out there, i had to go to bed though so i didn't look to hard. Im going to look again tomorrow (at school late tonight). I'll post up if i find anything.

Thanks guys.

Dude, No Clone.

Just like that, "No Clone".

Small, lightweight program.

1st time I ran it, it liberated aproximately 12GB in my hdd.

You can run it just on your pics' folder.

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
No Clone! :D :D

Alright, thanks, I'm gonna download it now.

Thanks again : )

Edit: I was thinking that, this sort of thing really aught to be built in to the search features included with most operating systems. It just seems logical that at some point a person might have to do a low level comparison of two or more files.
