Sad but true.. I've seen his signature before.. haha. :)
I'm actually fairly sure that this is legit.
Can't find my microsoft certificate right now, but compare that to this..

Could go either way as far as I'm concerned.

Lets face it, if Bill Gates was signing 360's, he wouldn't be signing one or two, he would have signed a LOT. How good do you think your signature would be after 50 times writing it with a Sharpie...

looks fake, i know he doesnt have a hard to write signature, but that looks way to scribbly.
plus in the photo's the only one that has the signature is the close up picture, which doesnt display any other items.

What sealed the deal for me was the
Personally signed by Bill Gates (with letter of authenticity).
I mean, WTF?
What's this "letter"?
Like Gates read a letter saying
I, William Gates, aka Billy MS, give my oath that my signature on this xBox 360 is legit... I secretly like iPods...
That didn't fly with me.
But, w/e I guess. :)

It's a certificate saying that the autograph or signature is authentic. VERY big deal when buying something which is supposed to be authgraphed by someone.
Wonder why they didn't include a picture of it.

Look at the overall pic
notice there's a black spot under the optical drive on the 360, above the IR ports or whatever, looks like a scribble
seems legit to me.

If it was a scam, they'd get kicked from eBay and I doubt that anyone want to lose their account of 33k+ stars. Seriously, that's more valuable than $2-3k.

The signatures from the xbox and the other link someone posted don't match at all. In the confirmed signature notice how he connects the B and G to the rest of the word. Doesn't do this at all on the xbox. Just thought I would point that out.

Curious... I know that whenever I get in different moods or feel sick or whatever I don't sign the same as usual... but it is possible it's fake. Just saying that it doesn't seem logical to throw out such a good eBay account just for 2k...

Probably... it might hit 5k, but unless someone is desperate and really need 5k (like a guy/company with that good of a rating couldn't make that reasonably quick), then I could see it... but I really don't know much about the dude except for he has a nice rating and all. That or he/she/they were played like a fool and got ahold of fake merchandise somehow without knowing it... but I dunno, we'll see how this plays out.
EDIT: About that paper that proves the autograph is real, considering it's value, it might be a legal document and I don't think you can post pictures or the document itself on a public site... hmm...

Okay dude! You're on! But I don't have any green 360s signed by Bill Gates... in fact, I don't even have a 360... but I do have a slice of paper and I could draw a green 360 with a scribbly mess on it... that'd work to, right?

I'd call it a fake only cause the signature looks like CRAP but more importantly they can only give you any indication as to it's authenticity from microsoft once you have given them 20$ of your maximum bid, and that is ONLY if Microsoft provides it for them/you.

Methinks this one deserves a TBCS "Guess the final price" competition for fun.
Rules:
1. One entry each.
2. Winner is whoever guesses nearest - above or below. (I'm the judge)
3. In the event of an absolute to the cent tie the prize will be paid in full to each winner.
4. Post your guess in this thread.
5. NO edits or deletes of your post with the guess in once posted or its disallowed.
6. No guessing within $50 of any other guesses - check carefully or be disqualified!
6. All guesses in by 9pm London tomorrow - Friday i.e. 4pm New York/ 1pm Pacific coast.
7. Admins/Site staff, Paul, Me (i.e. everyone and anyone :) ) welcome to join.
Any arguing with the judge leads to disqualification.
8. Prize $50/£25 (I'll provide) paid by paypal.
:) happy guessing :)

You are welcome. I'll also happily give it directly to any charity worldwide if someone who wins so wishes and has a favourite cause.
I had a weird dream last night. Victoria and David Beckham were sitting at opposite ends of their LA mansion, having had a row. They were desperately tryin to outbid each other in the last 5 minutes of the auction - each desperate to win the affection of their offspring. ... man the price went high.
