currently i have my cpu clocked up at 3.0 and in vista it says its 2.39
running
asus p5b
e6600
4 gigs ddr800
8600 gts superclocked

If I'm not mistaken (which I could be), Vista reports the CPU speed at the time that the system properties are opened. Since the clock speed is calculated on demand, it wont be accurate. Try using a program like CPU-Z to find the actual clock speed and CPU details.

I would check your overclock settings, I have CPUz open now reporting 1.8 when throttleing but vista is reporting 2.7 (correct)

make sure you got the latest version of cpu-z too.

basicly its oced to 3.0 right now and its stable as a rock the only thing is vista is stubid and cant see it o well its runing at 3.0 now and my temp at load is only 41.. its oced just vista cant see it who cares.. just was weird..
