Title kind of says it all. I am installing a Swiftech MCP350 pump http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-MCP350-pump.html and wasn't sure if I can mount it in any direction. I don't think it matters, but from a bushing/bearing standpoint does it? Can I mount it upside down or vertically?
Thanks!

I don't see why not, Tribaloverkill has mounted his next to the mobo.

like a fan i don't see any harm in which way you mount, just make sure you know the inlet and out :).
if you look at this (http://www.xoxide.com/koolance-rp-1000bk.html) koolance rp 1000bk the put (same type as yours) is mounted upside down.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem cos either way it's going to be full of coolant, should work in any direction.

I'm not saying this applies to the pump.. But from the looks of it, it is a laing model branded swiftech. Then it should be mounted in some ways only.. here is the link (http://www.lainginc.com/pdf/LTI%20DDC.pdf) that tells you about it. From laing themselves.
Installation positionThe pump can be mounted either to a wall or on the bottom of the computer. The pump must not be mounted with the motor pointing up and it must not be installed pumping downwards (Pump can be mounted through bottom plate with two 4mm x 10mm screws, trilobular for plastics, plastite).

dgrmkrp +rep for finding that. Thanks! That looks exactly like the pump.
I was going to mount it upside down and figured I'd ask first. Good thing I did. -Now I will have to find another way to mount it. :)

no, thank you for my 4th green bar :)
Also, it would have been bad on my side not to point it out. Your mod is awesome and I/we wouldn't want it to see having difficulties.
I'm planning to get the same pump and studied this stuff. This pump should go better with an acrylic top, so that the intake is perpendicular to the pump. Also, the normal barbs the pump comes with are kinda small and require a specific way of mounting the tubes.. I read a review of the pump with different tops and the alphacool top seems to be the best in terms of flow and pressure. You could look for that too.
If/when you have the pump, could you test it and see how noisy it is.. That's about all I couldn't really find in a review... at least, nothing I could judge for myself..
