I've done a little reading up on this and it seems they decided to launch a beta which I didn't agree to do. Now my bf2 is unplayable!! It flickers black and freezes up... :mad:

Disabled PnkBstrB.exe and game now runs fine... Scared the hell out of me, I thought the 5500's sub messed up my PC!! because it's only 2 feet away from it.

punkbuster is bull****. It was good until it started getting intrusive. It now runs almost 24 hours idle in the background of most PC's, although you do not sign or agree to that ANYWHERE in any of the games or PB's information.
And they are annoying with their updates because it is such a commonly harassed and cracked bit of "anti hack" software. I say balls to punkbuster, someone should put us out of our misery and kill PB!

ON a better note, glad your BF2 is working now! :D
