Hi Modders,

I am wondering what types of languages we can speak as a collective. I might need your help with a little project if you are linguistically capable and willing. Any takers?

...Not quite.

That would be "No hablo espaņol". Me doesn't work, it would be "yo", and "hablas" is the wrong verb tense. If you said that to someone they would understand, but the translation would be "To me you don't speak Spanish". Not to be nit-picky or anything ;).

That being said, I speak a little Spanish, and my mom is a Spanish teacher. I can help there if needed.

Fluentish french ;) Je la parle assez bien mais ca fait longtemps et en plus je n'avais jamais perfecter l'art de l'ecrire.

German I can communicate in, basics, also very basic Spanish and bits of Italian and odd words of a couple of dozen other languages. My Thai is rusty and doesn't go beyond buses to bangkok, bargaining tachniques and ordering fried rice with chicken and vegetables and a beer.

If you need Thai food and beer I'm your man.

I speak some basic German that I took in high school. It would take a little time but I could translate written, but spoken people just talk to darn fast for me to catch.

Ich verstehe dich nicht.

Perhaps.

Ich bin in deutsch ein an der schule.

An der Schule erlerne ich Deutsch, perhaps ?

EDIT: Actually more like "Ich erlerne Deutsch an der Schule"

omg My German is rusty :)

If I remember correctly, Dich refers to you in pural so it not generalised. Du is singular.

And I could agree with "Ich erlerne Deutsch an der Schule".

Oh and for you people who don't have a german-english dictionary: http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/dings.cgi?lang=en;service=deen
