Army *done* Car*done*, FPS*done*, Retro*DONE*, Kitchen applience *DONE* I could go on but then realized why not take something that intrests me that I havn't seen..... Something to do with Genetics and DNA. Now I havn't seen a mod for that if you see one please let me know and my last mod idea died quick my buddy was doing the same thing and he was most of the way thru it lol. But please comments let me know what you think and I will continue working on concepts.... PICS TO COME no worries.:bunny:

Any way to make the lights look like the DNA strands? By lights I mean either the water cooling tubing or the cable lights.

heres a +rep for a unique idea. i love biology and science, not sure about how i would do it though.

I think this is a great idea. You could make a res that has the genetic strands slowly spiraling in the middle of the tube/tubes with LEDs lighting them up from the bottom/up.
When the computer starts to work harder, you could have a color scheme that changes from like blue to red and bubbles coming up from the bottom of the tubes with the genetic strands in them.. This part of my idea might be a bit harder to achieve, so even just the color scheme changing would be cool.

Getting it to change colors and start the bubbles would be the hard part I would think. Just set it up with both leds, that parts easy. And making the bubbles would be easy too. Just use one of those bubble creators for an aquarium. The hardest part would be the activators for it.
You could have it do it when you opened up a drive or something. There might be away to do it from a program standpoint to, but that would be pretty tough.
The only thing that I don't like though is the bubbles in the res itself. It would look cool sure, but in a watercooling loop you want to get all the airbubbles out, not introduce more air into the system. Even if after it looks like there isn't any air in the system as its going through the loop, the water is airated. At a molecular level you have more air close to those water molecules, and your cooling efficiency will go down. By how much, who knows...
but ehhh, it would look sick.

Instead of making the water cooling loop(s) bubbly, get another loop of tubing that doesn't go to anything and mess with that all you want. You could also set up a Jurrasic Park-ish thing because that movie was big on genetics from what I remember, heh heh heh.

Ya Ryoken that is what I was thinking I dont have water cooling nor have the money for it so I was thinking some tubing and take a aquarium airthing and put it in the tube and there i got but its on hold at the moment i lost one of my p/t jobs so I am looking for a new one :D then it will start back up.

Sweet, sounds cool. Good luck with the job, I'm trying to get one myself... haven't gotten a call back yet, I'll give it a little while longer before looking around some more.

Well got some bad news about genetics I was doing some trial testing on it and unfortunitly its done. I had been testing on an old asrock board and celeron d chip and well everything seemed fine I started it up and BANG its went up in smoke faster then rosie odonald so needless to say this mod is dead :( it was comming along nicely i had a good portion of worklog done :(. Well the fire ruined the case and all the wireing so I wont be resurecting so I am on the venture for a new mod thanks guys for the support and FYI celeron D bad!

That sucks... You could still make the case and all, it's not like the heart and soul of a mod are the components in it, but the case and watercooling stuff and all that...

True enough once school projects are out of the way I will re evaluate the case situation
