Painting CADPAT

Painters, I referances to a case I would like to paint as part of a mod ( 1 of 2) that I would like to start after christmas (funds short due to christmas as you all know)

The other will be modded after a C130 Hercules Aircraft. Switchs and all, more to follow later in the new year. :/

I was wondering if you had a method in mind as to how to go about painting CADPAT. (Canada's Digicam)
I viewed the technique on these forums, but I'm looking for the real deal look.

Like would I mask the case, cut out random pattern and paint one color, then completely mask the case again and randomly cut another pattern and do another color?

It does help.

I tried looking before I posted and saw some drawer lining. I may to give it shot though to get the exact look of the CADPAT. Cause I do wear it to work and people expect more outta me.

Being a civilian working on and off in Trenton I've seen my fair share of C130's... ..and now a couple of C17's.

I was thinking about the exact same paint treatment. Was thinking about using the pattern even if doing a non-military theme, just using different colors.

My plan was to buy some poster board, cutting out various patterns, then overlapping two or more layers to create different patterns and just painting by eye. I was going to spraybomb.

If I bought a jeep, I'd consider painting it in the Cadpat. Or maybe I'll buy one of those Ottis, put the Cadpat painted body on a Toyota chassis or something and make it into a mini-monster truck... got me thinking now. :p

I thought about painting a case grey on grey, using C130 markings, then painting the interior of my case the same greenish-yellow color the special coating is that seems to be on the inside of the aircraft wings etc. So many possiblities. I thought it would be really cool to make a case using different shops at the Base. Laser cutters, aluminum fabrication, etc... make a really cool case that different shops could get involved with then selling it for the United Way campaign.
