That is pretty cool. Just think, your car's piston at an idle is going up and down about 14 times a second. At 5000 rpms it is doing that about 84 times a second. :) You wouldnt even be able to see it.

Wow, if you drove your car around 100,000 miles your pistons would go up and down about 300,000,000 times on average

Never really thought of that...

..................damn. and to think some of these beat cars can hit over 200k miles before being rebuilt. :neutral:

161,000 on my 1995 S10. Sweet video. Although I'm more than familliar with how this works, it's awesome to actually see it.
