Hi, i have an old altop, just installed windows 98 on it, got windows installed, all drivers, graphics driver installed correctly,

but i cn't install direct x?

If i try to install the websetup option, it can't find any servers, and if i try to use the redist i get an error "No files to update"

Whats going on, even the DX from windows update won't work.

does DX9 run on 98?

yes, i have installed it before, and the microsoft website has listed windows 98 as supported

Fixed it, i put Need for speed carbon in my pc, shared the drive, and installed the DX off the CD over the network, it installed, and i am now the proud owner on a laptop running windows 98 with DX9.0c
