I just downloaded the newest update for CS:S, turned off the computer, turned it back on after lunch and this is the message I get:

Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 0128825F: Attempt to read from
virtual address 898324483 without appropriate access rights.

So I uninstalled Steam, and now I'm downloading it again. I'm not sure what the problem was; anyone else get this problem when updating CS:S?

It looks like Steam dosen't have an offline mode anymore. Or it's a problem with my comp.

The only thing i do like is the update feature but the huge problem with it is... It allows them to create half assed games that they can fix later :)

Well, it lets me play games in online mode only; I don't like having my internet connection on 24/7; it's no big deal, but it's annoying as hell.
