Recently my operating became corrupted and I had to re install windows. Anyway I didn't mind losing what I lost besides my music. The only problem I lost my audio driver re install disk so I got the download version but I didn't include an piece of software I use all the time. THX console the only think I really used it for was to check if my speakers were set up right I had a device that would read off the channel when it was on the speaker. "back right" for example. I really need a piece of software like this so I you guys know any I would really applicate if you could tell me about it. Desperate here lol

What I do is I set a game to surround sound mode

then hold the speaker to my ear and sound = good, no sound = bad.

The windows mixer can be set to adjust the volume of each channel independently. Just play some music or something, and turn down all the channels, then turn each one up on its own to verify it's the right one. :)
