The other day I figured out that I have an old Creative jukebox (containing 20GB laptop HDD) and an IDE>USB cable lying around unused.
So I'm planning to make an enclosure for them but now I'm wondering what I could use for it. I need ideas!
I at the end we cant think of anything worthwhile I'll just make one from scratch from perspex and bondo and then spray it, but I'd rather have it in something that shouldn't be a HDD.
So any ideas of what I could put it into people?
BTW measurements: 100x 70 for the drive on its own and then another 35mm for the cable but I can trim that down a bit if need be.

Why not put it into a model car? :D Hell, make it a rally car! Even cooler... hdd activity LEDs in the headlights!

I always thought that would be a cool external enclosure to build.

Thats just it thrown in with no fixing but I will do some work on it at the weekend and maybe add a few LEDs.
Unless of course someone else can come up with a better idea.....
