With my rig now not running crysis I need a new rig. I want to get it for Christmas so I have some time. I haven't really been following the tech lately and don't really know whats best anymore. So I'm looking for very high on crysis and with the new 8800gt this should be that hard. I obviously cant do it on my 22" monitor but I still have my 19" so I need a rig that could do crysis very high or around there. I really need your help here try to keep it as cheap as possible. Under 1,100 more if It will make a big difference. I have everything thats not inside computer monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, So i don't need any of that. The only other thing I need is windows vista home premium.

Thanks guys for any help +rep to you who help.

I would look at the recommended system requirements for Crysis and go from there. From what I've seen, you should have no problem building a system for under $1,100.

Well I want to get it as cheap as possible with it being up to the standards that I need. So under 1100 would be great

Why not use the 22"er? I use mine at home for all my games and I have the 640mb version of the 8800gts. I was going to try Crysis tonight on that system to see how it runs...

if it were mine, id go with a 8800gt, abit ip35 (the cheaper one), c2d e6750 (or e6550), 2gigs corsair xms2 or crucial ddr2-800, a good 250 or 320 gig western digital sata drive and if you want a cheap good psu look at thermaltake or coolermaster. same goes for a case.

Then you'll need drives, a case, and a powersupply.
The most expensive item on the list is the 8800gt video card at about $290

im completly all for an 8800gt and it looks like a freakin beautiful card but keep in mind that if you wait a few weeks like 2 or 3 you will be able to take advantage of the pcie2.0 specification and a performance boost if u buy a nvidia 780i board which are coming out in like a week or 2 and they have pcie2.0 slots i think it may be worth the wait

I recomend getting the 32bit version of Vista, the 64bit screws with your games a lot, more than normal Vista. I have the Home Premium 64bit and my only problem so far has been games, the the OEM Vista though, saves you a lot of cash.

oops, i thought you said you didn't need a case.

double oops, that bit about raid was meant for the hard drives!

ok so i changed some stuff up and left 100 for a case, not sure what you want there so i left it open.

The Centurion is a nice case. Personally I would get one of the NZXT cases, look awesome. The Alpha is really cheap and looks cool.
