My new HP I just ordered. I usually go with Dell for prebuilt stuff. But I haven't been impressed lately which is why I have been building my own rig. But in order to take down and rehab my gaming pc I need my laptop to work and its merely just a paper weight now. So I ordered this laptop.
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 17.0" WXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1440 x 900)
- 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS
- Fingerprint Reader
- Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection and Bluetooth
- 240GB 5400RPM SATA Dual Hard Drive (120GB x 2)
- LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
- High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
All for about $1340. What do you think?

Not yet. Estimated build date is November 9th. So I wont even have it for probably 2 or 3 weeks. I just hope it makes it here before my desktop dies. When I run certain programs the fans howl. Its too much for a 5 year old pc.

Well...thats a nice website. I've never ran across it before. I think I made the right decision then. The only thing I didnt notice is that no one really mentions anything about dual monitor setups on a laptop. Is it possible?
+Rep for the find Greco

Any time :D
As for the dual monitor setup, as long as you have a VGA or DVI plug on your laptop you're good to go with dual monitors.

Sorry for the double post.
Does anyone know what games will run well on this machine. I know its not the super performance machine we all go for here. But I was looking to play a good fps with a good multiplayer to kill some time since I'm spending most of my money on this machine. I used to play BF1942 but I borrowed it on campus since we mostly played lan games which didnt check to see how many people used the same key. But now I'm looking at HL:Orange or BF2 and I was hoping someone could give me insight that might have a similar system if these will run well. Thanks for the help.

I've got the same processor in my laptop, with a go7400, and I can play WoW with almost all the graphic toys turned on (lose the full screen glow effect, and turn down the distance a bit). With the 8600 in yours, you should be fine to play pretty much anything. :)

I'm with everyone in the 6150 haters club.
I got this kickin new laptop (HP 9410), and of course the first thing I did was install wow and get depressed. Oh well, wasnt my dime since technically it's my work machine LOL. The double layer dvd burner with lightscribe still has me looking forward to an excuse to use it LOL. And the 17" widescreen is no slouch.

No pics yet. But I did dl crysis and check it out. It says that it can optimally run in medium. But I put everything on low and it runs perfect and its not too bad for quality. I can still play the game, its not all shapes. But I have been playing BF 1942 for kicks on it. It runs that at the max everything.
