I myself recieved an Intuos 3 as a gift years ago. It's still the same price today as it was then.

And this was my birthday before it was yours!

UHM, me thinks this one is better (but at $2500 it is out of reach of anyone but a professional...);

But I am biased.

And I said it before Scotty, but HB!

Happy birthday! I've got a Wacom tablet, a low end one, but it still kicks a mouse's (or trackball's, in my case) ass when it comes to drawing. Here's a banana: :banana:

[QUOTE]

I've read a few reviews on it, and they all said the same thing: It's not as great as it claims to be, and not really worth the cost.

But it still might be better than the Intuos3 anyway. Do you have one?

I have 25 of them sitting in my warehouse. I setup 3 or 4 a week for a customer but have not had the chance to actually use one. They "look" really nice and the image quality is pretty good. Just the idea of writing on the image seems great since there would not be the eye/hand disconnect. If I was any good at image programs or had more experience with cad tools I would test one out for a nice review. They look and feel pretty tough too. I think I would have to agree that they may not be worth the cost. They are expensive as hell. Also when one of them went bad, the hoops we had to jump through to get it RMA'd was crazy. They wanted photos of what was wrong with it. I was in a particularly frustrated mood by then, so I sent them an image of the Wacom logo...

Back to your regularly scheduled Birthday celebration...

I found something where a load of guys take old TFT monitors, dismantle them, buy a tablet and put them together to make their own for less only thing isd you need to go to the A4 one to fit over most monitors.
