I have an old mobo and some stuff kickin around that i was kinda thinking about putting in my car with a wifi card. I was also kicking around the idea of building a custom case and sub enclosure but I was worried that a sub would cause severe vibrations to the mobo and hdd, let alone the giant magnet. what is the best way to mag shield a speaker? tin foil? :? also... would the vibration just be too much for it, should i put the comp under a seat or somethin? i dunno... I have been kicking around this idea and when i get money i wanna start doing something like this. any thoughts?

Try to keep the mobo/hdd as far away from the vibration as possible. Under a front seat would be good, glove compartment would be better.

thanks for the advice. think using rubber as a shock absorber would be a good idea as well? (for bumps and such on the road)

Fairly common mod. I'll be doing one as soon as I get my new car.
here are some resources:

that should help get you going.
