I've had Vista Ultimate for a while now but I haven't really gotten around to all of the features yet. Today I've been working on the speech recognition feature. I still have a little bit of work to do; I need to get it to recognize my voice a little more and to teach it some words that might not know. I actually managed to type this entire thread just by using the speech recognition. Well actually, I didn't really type it all, I just dictated to my computer what to type. It actually works pretty well.

I saw that video before, its stupid. I can "write"(say) an entire paragraph with only minor errors. You have to speak different when your using voice recognition, without emotion. Otherwise your just gonna fck up all the words.

Well the more you use it, the better it can understand your voice, and then you can more easily talk however you want. If you take the tutorial for the speech recognition, it'll better understand you. You can also seperately just train it to know you better. And if it makes a mistake, you simply say correct and ell it the right word, and then it'll know you even better still. The guy in the video sounds like he was trying to fail.

i used to use dragon speak by IBM, it worked a treat, but it look about 12 hours to train it, you have to say words, and string setences together that it tells you can it learns how you join some words up.
