So, after a lot of consideration I've decided I want to include some copper pieces as accents on my new project "Animus". I don't have any experience with the stuff, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone could give me some pointers or have any advice before I break a Dremel expiramenting with a bare sheet. So far, my intent is go SLOW.

If this works, I think it'll look really nice, I'll be putting them as cover panels on my drive bays for these Lian Li cases. As well as fan covers for the 2 120mm fans on the side, and the 2 70mm fans I've installed in a pair of the bays. And some... filligree style corner accents. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have never really had any experience cutting it but I have with molding/shaping it. We used a small hammer and some wooden sticks to bang on it, we just did this to make designs. I did my name blah blah blah. I do know it can get very fragile and can tear easily even if the piece it thick.

Should cut just fine with normal metal blades and yes the dremel can handle it. If you want it to keep it's "copper" look you must coat it with a clear finish to prevent any dulling or patina effects (unless that is the look you want...).

Thanks Bozo, my plan is to make a steam punk wood and copper case for my new home server/data dump. What I would like to do is have the copper weather over time honestly, I think the grubbier it gets, the better it will look, considering the theme.
