I'm looking to buy a new server case but can't find a good one for a reasonable price (<$100).
I need it because I would like ample room to be able to mount a lcd monitor into one of the side panels. I would like it to be more a cube shape.
If anyone has any suggestions please tell me!

Welcome aboard!
There are a ton of great cube cases on this site, one for example is "trapped in the machine", which is turning into a total custom build. It did start with a cube case, so you should check that out for ideas.

Thanks for the great thread.
That is definitely the type of case I would like.
I just don't know if I can afford the $350 price tag that comes with it.
hmmmm.

You could always hit up Ebay and look for used server cases... Airbozo sometimes comes up with crazy deals on SGI cases, so maybe that's an option too.

what about one of these?Chenbro Server Cases (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=4027&Description=chenbro&name=%2475+-+%24100)
I have this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811123126) one. If any of the aboves are like the one I have, it is very solid. Even with the side panel off I was able to stand and "do a little dance" on it without thinking I was going to break it. You could easily "chop" this case up and still have it strong enough for your needs. Just beware...IT IS HEAVY! Ship weight on my case was 50lbs+ There was nothing else in that box but some bubble wrap and the case.
