Hey All.

I'm new at case modding, but I've loved computers since I was 3 (I'm 16 now.). In the summer I got a job, so I decided I would like to put together my own computer, as opposed to the crappy Compaq I had at the time. The thing I found most disappointing was that all cases seemed to be that exact same, rectangular-shaped box. So now I've decided to construct my own case, from scratch.

I decided I'd do the Half-Life 2 logo.

The first problem I saw was the shape of it, being circular and all. I've decided to add a kick-stand to keep it up. The kickstand? A crowbar, like that in HL2.

(Because I suck at drawing and whatnot, here's what I have in mind- for now.)

Thoughts/ Comments appreciated, and converns about the design would be greatly appreciated (Ya know, before I start to invest in it)

welcome to the forums!!

looks like a really neat idea, i would use a full sized real crowbar (painted hl2 style) and make those yellow lines windows with maybe a yellow or orange CCFL in behind. i would make that the front and have the case maybe 10" thick/deep. put the dvd burner at the top to the left of the 2 stealthed.

+rep to get ya going!

Thanks.

I was thinking of possibly making that the side, with the front of the case having a garage-esque door.

Oh, and I want to take a digital picture frame and have it play Breen-Casts (with a switch to turn it on and off.)

ya also cool, then i guess the crowbar would just be painted on?

here (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5499&highlight=doom+door) is a guy who copied the doom 3 door, its a long read but should give you an idea or two.

where would you put the lcd/picture frame, the front?

The crowbar would be at the back, to keep it upright.

And I'd think I'd have it elevated/ on an angle at the top. I'm not too sure if I'd do it or not.

I expected it to be done already, and the case I have in mind will be vastly different, so I'd think it's okay.

I think it is still a great idea. Your case will still be unique. Just try to find some things to customize... Such as your LCS Picture frame. I think that sounds like a cool idea.
