That thing is HUGE! And BTX is weird...

BTX =\ It's inverted ATX isn't it?
But yea. HUGE.
If they make more cards that size people are going to need big cases, or ones with holes cut in the front.

What good is a 65nm process if you are just going to make the card bigger? They shouldn't be putting them side by side like that, although it is really cool, a dual layer ala the 7950GX2, it would be a lot easier to fit in a system.

The 7950GX2 was HUGE aswell though...

It was about the same length as an 8800GTX... not quite as long as those beasties are.
Regardless, they could shave at least 2 inches off by making it dual layer instead of being long.

Personally i prefer it lengthwise instead of dual, the cooling is therefore much better than it would be on a dual set-up

I can't argue with you there, the cooling would be MUCH better with lengthwise. I just have to wonder how long cards are going to get before we need a new formfactor.

We don't need a new form factor, people need to start making bigegr cases, this is where ,my TJ07 is fine :) I could probably fit a 15-18ish inch card in.

Nah, not BTX there, just an "upside-down" ATX case.
And holy assballs, those things are MASSIVE! Though I could probably wrangle a pair into my old Gateway server tower; the hard drive cages don't go down that far...

I just manage to fit an 8800GTX into my NZXT so no hope with these guys, wouldn't buy one either. Those power plugs are mounted weirdly aren't they lol.

I want one! Good for my big case ;) But they should be able to watercool it. Or else it's a no go.

If it has 2 GPU's you will need two blocks unless the make a weird full coverage block.

I quess the last. Although 2 seperate blocks wouldn't be bad either. Especially not when you can use it also later for other cards.

Can they not make it wider? lol That'd fit a bit better and I won't have to take the SawZAll (or however it's spelled... :F) to my case, lol. I've been looking at other cards since mine died. How much is that beast anyway?

It's probably going to be around $400, seeing as how single ones are only around 219 right now. And the 3870 singles nearly beat 8800 gt's in benches, these things should be able to take on the freakin 8800 ultra. I can't wait. Think about crossfired... wow.
