For my mom birthday, I've decided to offer her a computer. Not a brand new one, but a lot better then the one she uses.
She's now using a 486 laptop. (I know... But she's only using word)
I have that old HP P3 That I got for 15$, so I'm gonna gave it to her.
But First I have to mod it a little:

Her basement, where her office stand is all in wood, whit a little fire place, so I think the best might be to make something out of bricks. Not real one, but imitation. Like... wall paper :)

Here's the first step:
Before:

And After:

I think it don't look that bad. It was the first step, the top and the other side will be made the same way and the front will probably be black oven...

Ok, the case is all covered of that wallpaper. One good thing done. (sorry no pics...)
It's raining outside, so I can't paint the front panel. The idea is to make it black charcoal. I've found black paint with texture. They call it speckle stone. I hope it gonna give it the look of an old wood oven.

Meantime, I've made a meshing panel for 2 bezels. The longest part have been to bend the mesh. Not really hard, but long work.

(Inside the panel)

As you can see the mesh is bend everyside at 90 degrees, so it fit perfectly in position. I've also leaved 7 unbended stripes and (with help of my friend the dremel) insert them directly into the panel. When the painting will be done, I'll bend them to make sure the mesh stay in place.

(Installed on the case)

I found an old red bubble led thing in my stuff, So I decided to install it behind the mesh,

And made a little wire cleaning inside the case.

Tonight I'll intall the OS.
Now if it can stop raining...

lol, such a good kid... She wasn't saying that at my teenage :D

Well, time change people I guess. And weather change too, no more raining :)

I apply the primer this morning: I know I could have done a better job, but the final paint will cover it:

And the flashing leds give a real nice effect of fire :)
