7800gs keeps restarting my comp

hi all i just baught a agp evga 7800gs co for my second computer, for some odd reason it restarts my computer no blue screen nothing just a hard restart, i've tried different drivers it doesnt seem to help, so i installed a fresh copy of winxp pro samething

I'd check our your PSU. When in doubt thats always the first thing I check when it comes to issues like that. Take your 600watt and try it in that pc and see if the restarts insist.

The card itself could be faulty or like NighttrainSrt4 said you could be having a power supply issue. If you bought it of ebay go back and question the seller whether they are selling it because it is faulty.
