Enough Room?

Hey and thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Im looking to make a case out of a police car and was just wondering if there would be enough room in this car or if i should try to find a larger one

id like to add a 680I mobo, 8800GT, single HD, 800PSU, dore 2 duo 3ghz, and one dvd drive into it

nm..im pretty sure it wont after i noticed the "how big is this" link on that page its only likely to be 10" long, not long enough for a 12 inch mobo

in order to fit all that you would need at least a 1/6 scale. you might get way with 1/12 but it would have to be a van or something.

police cars are just regular cars with special paint and lights right? (ok well visually from the outside)

could u not find a regular model car that is the right size, paint it up, add some flashy lights and hey presto.... it's a police car :D

well you could but theres only certain models of pcars that police use because they require some pretty specific upgrades and it makes it easier if only certain models are used for a long time it was the ford Crown vic..thn chevy used the impala and now dodge has entered the fray with their new charger and magnums and i cant find large models of any of the above..i can understand the crown vic and impala but i thought for sure id find a large scale charger or magnum..but then maybe theyre too new yet

A Crown Vic, Impala, Caprice, new Charger, or if you go back to the '70s and '80s, a Plymouth Gran Fury/Dodge Monaco/St. Regis, Chevy Malibu, or Ford LTD/LTD II will make a convincing cop car. Are you looking for something contemporary?

Also, some locations here in the US had Camaros and occasionally Mustangs and Corvettes. Any full-size van will work well, as well.

yeah..i tried finding any of those...the only car i found in 1/4 scale that has ever been made into a police car is the lamborghini..and im not a fan of the look of the italian lambo police cruiser..:-p

Here are some other options you mihgt not have thought of.

Sheriff's patty wagons, Rescue vehicles, Pick-Up trucks. You've also looked over the best police cars of all, the illusive Ghost Car! You could take any model car and hide some strobes in it and you have a sleek looking cruiser.

You could also find a M-ATX board so it'll fit into smaller scale cars.

Just seemed anticlimactic. I got sad.

But either way, that should be a cool pc nonetheless. You could have it all stealthy and when your at a lan party or something set it off while playing a racing game or something...your buddies think they get pulled over or something. Idk... lol. Hope to see the project!

eh well id like to do what i originally had in mind..and would go for an SUV but i cant even find any large scale of them..porche and lamborghinis are all i can find in sizes of 1/8 and bigger

Its cool. If you cant find something theres nothing you can do. Either way it should be a cool case.
