Yay! My first mod...kinda. Its my friend's other computer, but we'll be working on it together. . Tarquinius is some name that my friend thought of.
Heres it's specs:
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz (Socket A)
Kingston 1GB DDR 400 RAM
nvidia Geforce 4400 128MB AGP
10GB Fujitsu IDE Hard Drive
MSI KT4 Ultra
Antec Case:

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0110.jpg
Heres our plans:
-Make a side panel window
-Paint Exterior Gloss Black
-Paint Accents Silver/Chrome
-Paint Interior Matte Black
-(All Red LED fans) Install 1x 80mm at the back, 2x 80mm at the front and 1x 1x 120mm on the window
-Stealth the DVD Reader and CD Burner
-Cut out, bondo and mesh the lower front panel for front fan intakes
-(Possibly) A Plexiglass mobo cover
Well, theres the plans heres what we've done so far:
Cutting out the Side Panel Window
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0114.jpg
Our test cut and window layout: Believe it or not, this both of our first times cutting into a case with a jig-saw.

The rough cut of the window

Man that's satisfying to see!
There ain't no "64" about a 1.2 Thunderbird... it's "just" an Athlon. :) Glad to see an older A get the kind of case it deserves.

First of all, thanks for all of the comments.

I didn't know that, all I knew is that it said athlon and was 1.2GHz. Around the time of those processors I was a big intel-geek and didn't pay attention to AMD's offerings.

I don't know the specifics of the blade; all I know is that it was a fine metal-cutting blade. I forgot to mention though, this case has a 100% steel construction. We killed a few dremel cutting heads before realizing that they weren't for cutting steel . By the way, this thing is retardly heavy.

Looks like a very nice project, I might suggest adding some red accents to parts of your exterior to have a nice contrast with the Red LED fans you are installing. Also you did a very nice job cutting out the outside for the plexi glass. Hope everything works well.

OK we got up, went to Home Depot and got some stuff, and finished up the window
Finishing the Side Window
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0117.jpg
Heres all of the holes drilled.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0118.jpg
We cut the plexi, and cut out the area for the handle.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0119.jpg
Here it is bolted on, lookin pretty good. Sadly we accidentally only got 6 bolts, when we needed 7.

Shot of the nuts holding the window.
Once the side is painted and we take the protective film it'll look really nice.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0153.jpg
We got in our shipment of red case fans and black processor fan!
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0156.jpg
Nice red, eh? In case you want them they are Apevia fans.
Finishing the Window
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0159.jpg
Filing it down to the proper size.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0165-1.jpg
Here it is all done. Its beautiful except for those nicks; I was so mad when I took the film off and those were there.
Painting the Case
Remember, we're painting the inside Flat-Black and the outside Gloss-Black.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0162.jpg
The inside is all cleaned up and ready to paint.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0167.jpg
That black is lookin nice!
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0170.jpg
Just gotta wait for it to dry...
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0176.jpg
We also painted the fan holders and wire-management thingy.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0177.jpg
Can't forget the brackets.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0180.jpg
All Dry and lookin' insane.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0183.jpg
Another dry picture, also lookin good.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/DSCF0184.jpg
Can't forget the HDD cage, and I/O Panel.
Thats all for now, sadly there won't be any more updates until next weekend. :( Though, next weekend we'll probably be finishing it up. My friend can't decide if he wants the old parts in this case or the parts from his new comp:
-Intel C2D E6750
-2GB Corsair DDR2 800
-MSI nforce 650i Platinum Mobo
-80GB IDE HDD + 160GB SATA HDD
-evga 8600GTS 512MB
Right now thats all a decent-looking, however plain, Thermaltake WingRS.
What do all of you think we should do?
Comments Please.

By the way, does any one know of a nation-wide store or online store I could get speaker grill at? I don't want that A.C. Ryan Modder's mesh because its expensive as hell.
Thanks,

Alright, these pictures are actually from quite a while ago, but here ya go. These are all of the pictures of the painted parts. I think my friend might have some w/ the parts inside and the computer turned on but, he hasn't gotten me those yet. By the way, I probably won't be able to post any more pictures for another few weeks.

And lastly the HDD cage.
I know its hard to tell from these pictures, but the external parts are all glossy where the internal parts are matte/satin.

Yay updates after a long time, work begins on the front of the case!
We cut out the ugly grill thing to make way for dual 80mm fans:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1038.jpg
In that open whole we will be putting this piece of metal (with the fan holes cut out) bent around two 80mm Red LED fans (All with a grill over it).
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1039.jpg
I know its hard to see, but we have scratched out all of the lines for folding and cutting.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1044.jpg
The side grill has been cut, painted and mounted. Lookin good.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1045.jpg
Heres the bottom half all sanded and ready to paint.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1046.jpg
And heres the top half all ready to paint.
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/Indybird/Tarquinius/DSCF1047.jpg
They're painted and drying.
There should be more updates monday.

one question tho, as you have painted everything else, why not the handle on the side panel? is there a plan to paint it?

We are planning to paint that and the front panel buttons a Shiny Silver (almost chrome) color.
Thanks for the rep.
