On top of only being able to post links for sale stuff on Ebay, its overpriced. You can build a brand new AMD x2 rig with 2gigs of ram for well under that price. Especially if you already have some basic parts.

I just don't like how people try to circumvent the system by posting this stuff, or in some other cases, not this one, by saying "ohh we can do it through pm's or give me your msn or aim and we can talk" type of thing.

I just don't see why it is so hard for people to follow the rules. Don't want to do ebay, don't even post it then. And you can't even say you weren't hoping someone here wanted to buy it as...

Just frustrates me, especially from members who have almost 300 posts. You should know these things.

Jeez mate. Lay off-em.

Usually when you sell an old computer, you get the total cost of what you spent and divide it by 3. Or you can just re-estimate your parts through newegg to get top-exact-dollar.

Computers really dont retain their value unless they are works of art (Mods) and even then it's better if you put newer parts in them every so often.

Craigslist isn't a bad way of selling something. Of course Ebay is always a GREAT way, but if you dont wanna pay posting fees or setting up paypal...etc, craigslist is a definite next best choice.

I'm just saying, I've seen quite a few people try to go about it this way, but not many people call them out on it. I'm not being mean, or intentionally trying to be rude or anything. Its just I look through chatterbox for something to trigger my mind, make me think, or to just chat. I just don't want to have to sift through a bunch of these "lame" attempts to sell me a pc. If I wanted that I'd go look at Dell's webpage or something.

I apologize for stating my opinion if it offended anyone. I just don't see a difference in doing this as compared to spammers for those stupid websites in Hot Hardware deals, either way its against the rules.

So I am sorry. In retrospect I could have just pm'd him and told him he might want to do an ebay link or whatever instead. I can't change that now so I apologize for that.

Read the rules please. There is no posting of personal sales aside from posting links to ebay auctions. Sorry guy, no dice.
