Hi all, i have had to resort to a low profile AGP GFX card, so i had a ATI radeon 9200SE (128) but it blew up as such,

so i removed the ati drivers, and installed a Nvidia Gforce 4 MX 440, windows has the drivers but it looks fuzzy on my monitor, so i tried installing the latest drivers from the website that support my card.

Low and behold, i can only use 4BIT graphics, and you don't want to know how this site looks at that colour and in 640x480!

anyone have any ideas, i don't really want to buy a new card, if needs be i might try and get another ati, exact same model as i know it works.

EDIT----

Just loaded DXDIAG and it says my driver is from 2004!!!!!! so much for being the most recent then!

Don't worry, i fixed it, installed a driver from 2005 (Forceware 77.77)

anything newer than that and i either got the dreadded 4bit colour or "This driver is not compatable with any devices installed in your system!"
