So all of you probably know what happened to my sister. Well, my grandma flew up from Houston, TX to help out around the house here. Me and her learned one thing: We both love beef jerky. She kept telling me about how she had ~30 bags or so at her house.

So I didn't go to school today, slept in too late. While playing CoD4, the doorbell rings. It's a UPS guy. I sign for the package and check the name on it -- It's for me! I wasn't even expecting a package so this was complete ownage.

I see who it's from: One Sandra Baker, in Houston. I open it up and inside are 18 (yes, 18 ) bags of beef jerky. I couldn't do anything but laugh (and take one out, then proceed to eat some).

All because I mentioned how much I like it. How ownage is that?

homemade?!

No, but it's Jack Link's so it's freaking awesome nonetheless. It's a lot better than the pemmican, oh boy oberto, etc stuff that they sell in my area.

Crap that is a pretty expensive freaking expensive load of beef if i do say myself.

I could get a nice juicy steak for $80 as apposed to dried beef.Jerkey is still good though. I just cant seem to find the brand that I loved. Now ive got like 5 bags of jerkey that taste like crap. Oh well

Ya but you gotta think, thats 5 pounds of high quality meat. And thats 5 pounds after its smoked if i am not mistaken, so the original cut of meat would weigh substantially more.

Nice cuts of meat are pretty expensive. And both of those guys are using good meat, not the on sale meat at Stop&Shop.

90$ for homemade, 5lbs of Jerky isn't expensive. I mean hell, 5lbs is enough food for at LEAST a week, if you ration it properly. And that's if all you're eating is Jerky.

I LOVE beef jerky. I only have two beefs (pun intended) about it, the price is high, and sometimes youll get an a small strand of beef(fiber?) that gets stuck in between your teeth and its really annoying..

I want some jerky D:

I forget the brand, but one of them makes shredded beef jerky and its in a chewing tobacco like container. That was one of the first kinds I had. Tastes really good but isn't hard to chew because it is really finely shredded. If I can remember the name I will tell you because you could eat that easy with braces. I had mine when I had that kind.

Edit: Not sure if its the kind I had before, but Jack Links also makes shredded beef jerky in much the same type of container. Might be hard to find locally though, not sure.

Thank god for the beef jerky -- it and a bottle of water makes up my dinner tonight. We've got no food in the house (sans my dried meat chunks) nor drink (well, we have this "Voss" water stuff that claims to be all fancy or something... it's water.), so in this treacherous domicile, where a lightswitch could flick at any moment, I've been able to survive.

Hahaha, I understand how it is Omega, but I don't have even beef jerky. My plans are to buy a small fridge and store food in that sometime soon. Oh, and put a lock on it so they don't steal mah fewdz.
