Yesterday someone commented on some members here don't mod enough. I took it really personally.

I may have sound rude, but my reasons were mine and I think it worth the time I spend away. ( sorry ) But when it come to free stuff, something in me scream for mod. I wont say what it is now, but let just say that the Penguin is the main theme.

(btw complete system, now the last one, but really interesting material, and free)

Edit: I saw the title at first without looking at the poster and I got my guns ready lol. I was almost ready to put on my spam destruction suit and speak my early morning mind. But "Free stuff" wasn't another spammer...I think lol.

Sly's got something headin our way...my guess would be a Batman themed mod that'll run *nix of some sort.

I doubt there's any flame involved, unless it's coming from the rocket on the back of the Batmobile... :D

Whoa, did I miss something in the few minutes I looked away? I always miss stuff lol. I have no clue what this thread is about. I thought Sly was hinting at a mod in some weird way but I have no clue.

And by spamming, I saw "free stuff!!!" and just thought spammer, and then saw Sly and was like oh, Sly's no spammer.

Now Im lost trying to figure out what's going on... :(

If it is a linux mod that would be kinda cool. But ya, the first few sentences do seem like something entirely different now that I look at it, but I have no clue what it references so Ill just stick to thinking its a Tux mod.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt tonight--it's most likely the alcohol a talkin. A bottle of Cab-Sav will do that to ya.:p

Seriously though, scratch the Batman stuff...I think anyways. Penguin = Linux in most modder's books...the only reason why I brought up Batman was because I saw the second and third movies dirt cheap at one of the big box stores--might go pick em up later next week.

Sly, care to shed a bit more light on this? Like everyone else, I'm really intrigued!

I'm glad I confused you all!

1- No. I wasn't starting a flame war. When I said I took it personally, I mean that it hurt me cause I know I didn't really mod in a year. And it urge me for mod.

2- The post is confusing cause I presented my last movie yesterday, and the presentation was at the Labbatt brewery, so I was really, really, really under the effect of beer.

3- Someone gave me a Power Mac G4 Graphite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Mac_G4) yesterday. 1.2 GHz, 1 G of RAM.

4- It wont be about Batman. ;)

5- I forgot my camera in my office at the University yesterday, so I cant post pics

Ahh ok, now things are starting to make sense. So is this an actual project though? If so you should ask a mod to move it to the worklogs so it doesn't get lost in all the Chatterbox threads.

I was re-reading the entire thread cause I found it really funny, and I remembered my own custom title. I think CB is the only one who understand it: Nobody understand what I'm writing :D

I started with the easy part, just get in shape:

I removed the apple logo on both sides of the case

After a long time of sanding I've been able to remove it

After that, some might say that I took the easy way... well maybe, but it do the job:

I printed the Linux logo on paper just the right size

Now I have to find a paint remover for acrylic. Anyone know what I can use? I want to remove the silver paint behind the side panels.

Finally, I decided to start sanding the side panel. God it's a long work, 2 hours, and all I have done it's this

ok, now I have a little problem...
I have a couple of CCFL I want to use, and plenty of inverters. Only problem, I have those inverters from a previous mod, and the wires are already mod (changed the 4pin molex to 2 pins... Now I can't remember: Inverters need 12V or 5?
