As some of you may know, I have been working at a powder coating business for a while now. It is hard work and I think I have had enough. Im not tired of it but i am beat up.
I have a bad muscle in my back, the same one I pulled in the summer. It only hurts when i move or sit still. My left wrist also hurts all the time ( probably sprained) because I caught a 150lb light pole from falling over with one hand about 1 1/2 months ago. I also hurt my right elbow today while moving some industrial stuff we are coating. It just seems like I keep getting hurt and my body doesn't have time to heal because everything is physical labor. Im getting to old for this :D

Yeah, sounds like it's time to retire from that business and move on, lol. What other jobs have you been looking at, if you don't mind me asking?

Too bad either of you do not live in the Silicon Valley area. The company I work for will be hiring at least one person to assemble custom workstations and servers sometime after the first of the year. I get to do the interviewing since this person will work for me.

I'd move if I had the money to do so. What sort of requirements are there? I just have a little experience but am willing to learn. ^_^ lol

It is totally up to me. I am sitting down with the Wife (a former High Tech Recruiter) to help me come up with a basic job description. We will then use that as a reference and criteria for hiring.
Personally I will be looking for someone with basic computer skills that is willing to learn. Almost anyone can assemble a computer but it takes talent to do a clean and repeatable job. I will also be looking for someone not afraid to use their brain. ;)

If only I lived there... *sigh* By building my own PC I'm learning there are many little things that can keep it from running right... some things that can kill it (haven't had any of that yet... the few that have are from abuse and me getting mad but that won't happen with someone else's stuff and while I"m on the job. I'm learning. It just takes patience).
When I got my new mobo it would boot up and turn off about fifteen seconds after hitting the power button. It turned out that the heatsink wasn't touching the CPU, kinda funny. I've also had other misc. stuff too.
Sorry for kinda hijacking your thread danthegeek, lol.
