Hello people!

1st, i will introduce myself!:

I'm Pieter Veenstra, and i'm 18 years old, and i live in the Netherlands (small ****hole:lick:)My english is very poor, but i do my best!

I started casemodding when i was 15 years old or something, and this is mysecond casemod i have made.
My parents have a stone machining company, so thats were the idea came from.
The material coms from Sweden, and is called: Light Labrador, or Bleu Pearl.
The normall price of this stuff is $150 m² not polished or anything.
But i got it for free8)

I started building my case in January 2006, and now its almost done!

The Hardware:

CPU: AMD Opteron 165 Dual Core (S939)
GPU: ATi Radeon X1800GTO By: Sapphire
Mobo:ECS nForce4 A-939
HD's: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320gb, Maxtor 80gb (both S-ata)
PSU: BeQuiet 600 watt's
Mem:1536mb DDR1 400mhz

I will not translate everything of my worklog on Gathering.Tweakers.net, and will also not post every picture here.
But it will give you a good idea of the whole working process.

The PSU is changed already, by a BeQuiet 600watt modulair, and i'm going to change the HD stickers also....

BTW....the final weight of the case is 72kg!

Well he was at 35kg(~80ish lbs or something) with only the bottom section and no hardware.

Im willing to bet this case ends up somewhere around 130lbs. Awesome though, I love it. Gotta love having the right tools for the job around, I only wish.

Great case. Love it. Just don't try bringing that one to a lan party hehe.

Neeways, nice work! Granite is just about the last material I would ever think to make a case out of. In fact, I think if someone told me about that before I saw it, I wouldn't even believe its possible.

Jeeeeeeesus christ. That thing weighs a TON (actually closer to what, 300lbs or so... holy crap, it weighs more than me), but it can probably take a hit from a tank shell and survive, so...

Jep....its very heavy, but if you hit it with something hard, it wil break in a 1000 picies.:neutral:
Thats also the most dificult part of making a case from granite...the strength.
