Review: Roccat Kone

I think I might be swayed from buying the Logitech G9. Though the company, "Roccat" is brand new, it looks like they're coming into the market knowing what they are doing. The mouse I mention is the Roccat Kone (http://www.roccat.org/index.php?ROCCAT=Products&modul=9|ROCCAT+Kone), which (much like their keyboard) seems like a refinement/combination of the Logitech G9 and the Razer Barracuda.

Also on site check out their Keyboard, the Valo.

Just from the description, specs and pictures I am sold. What do you guys think about it?

So far the only pricing I've seen is 69.99 Euros. That kinda translates to ~100 U.S. Dollars but that also includes all of those huge taxes. Can someone who actually knows about this on here fill me in on how that works exactly?

Damn near the same exact thing. Personally, I find the lights annoying and the logo tacky. It's definitely nice to look at in person though but I can imagine how annoyed I'd get leaving my computer on at night having the mouse light up my room.

Plus with the G9, you get a spare face plate for the modder's convenience. :oP

Yeah, that mouse screams Logitech. I use an MX700 and the button layout for that Kone looks a lot like the Mx700 (which has been used on basically all of logitech's good mice), so.

Sadly, I gotta agree w/ you guys. That might be the only downside (though huge for me) from what I've seen. I think I'm going to go w/ the G9 since a) it doesn't look like the Roccat will be out in the US for a long while b) the roccat has the THUNDERCAT! logo and c) its kind of hard to pass up a $20 rebate.
