This (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/clips/use-a-wiimote-to-make-whiteboards-out-of-anything-332039.php)

is pretty damn sick. I don't have a nice projector, but at the end of the video he shows that it can be done with an lcd screen. I wonder if it would work with a thin piece of plexi over the screen. I mean it should. That way you don't scratch your screen. This is sick. I might have to try this.

And its something we could all do pretty easily too. Most of us are decent with led's, and the rest is just an app for the wiimote. I am going to have to pick up a wiimote and try this.

Cheap tablet. He mentions the resolution isn't wicked high, but I wonder if it would be high enough to draw with. Less than 20-40$ I don't see how it could go wrong though. Just pure awesome.

Anyone know where to get an infrared led?

I saw that too, it was on hackaday yersterday.
I have a wii and two remotes, i just need an IR led but i would rather salvage one if i can rip it off something then pay a few dollars at radioshack, or be forced to order bulk online.

ok so since i have all the requirements i am going to try this one out :):)

EDIT: got the led pen made :), next is to install the software and check to see if this will work in a CRT.

well i got it to work but unless you have a FLAT CRT it won't work properly. also does anyone have an older 100% FREE copy of bluesoleil? mine doesn't want to work with the blue tooth dongle for what ever reason. it caps the total data transfer to 5mb so i can't use it very long.

here is a SS of me setting it up, useless but ohwell i figure i would throw it in here.

Turn FPSes into point-and-click adventure games, anyone? ;)

yey! it's working on my dad's lcd :)

its a bit tricky to use, epically near the edges of the lcd but it does work. my led is bent to a bit so that is also causing problems but can be fixed by simply twisting your hand. it would also be nice to have some kind of right click but ohwell.

i think i still have steam installed on this computer so i will give that a try with this setup and see what happens.

Ahh so thats how it comes out. Well that kind of takes my wacom tablet idea out of the picture. My drawings wouldn't look to great I don't think.

Less Spawn writes like that normally :) jk

i'm not sure why its so on-off/shaky but in his video it was smoother, alot smoother.
either way once i get my own lcd i want to try this again. i wish there was a way to integrate the right mouse click though, it's used so much and its hard to work without it.
